OAK GLEN, Calif. (KABC) — A major mudslide in Oak Glen prompted several road closures and downed power lines Thursday afternoon.
Eyewitness video shared with ABC7 shows the massive mudslide taking over a road. Oak Glen Road, from Chagall to Potato Canyon, remains closed as emergency crews work to access the area for cleanup.
Authorities are urging people to stay out of the affected area for their safety.
Additionally, a flash flood warning was issued through 7:15 p.m. for parts of San Bernardino County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Locations impacted by the warning include San Bernardino, Yucaipa, Highland, Running Springs, Angelus Oaks, Mountain Home Village, Seven Oaks, as well as highways 18 and 330—specifically Highway 18 between Running Springs and Big Bear, Highway 330 between San Bernardino and Running Springs, and Highway 18 between Running Springs and Skyforest.
