US stocks end at record highs after Fed rate cut, Nvidia-Intel deal

NEW YORK, United States — US equity indices closed at fresh record highs on Thursday following the Federal Reserve’s first interest rate cut of 2025.

The market rally was further boosted as Intel surged after Nvidia announced it would take a stake in its rival.

All three major indices ended the day at all-time highs, with the S&P 500 rising 0.5 percent to 6,631.96.
