JNPA inaugurated the Induction Training Programme

The first batch of officers from all Major Ports in India recently commenced a two-week training program, aimed at fostering knowledge sharing and capacity building across the sector. The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries including T. K. Ramachandran, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW); Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Joint Secretary, MoPSW; and Vikas Narwal, IAS, Managing Director, Indian Ports Association (IPA).

Unmesh Sharad Wagh, IRS, Chairperson of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPA) and CMD of VPTPL, formally welcomed the dignitaries. He also shared his thoughts on the significance of the training program, emphasizing its role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of officers across the major ports.

During the sessions, officers engaged in insightful interactions with the Secretary, MoPSW, T. K. Ramachandran. They exchanged experiences and expressed their enthusiasm for the training, underscoring its value in professional development.

This collective participation from officials across all major ports highlights a collaborative effort to strengthen India’s maritime sector through continuous learning and capacity enhancement.
