Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The alertness of two traffic police constables led to the successful capture of two mobile snatchers red-handed on Friday. The incident occurred at Pipliyahana Square, where the constables were on duty.
According to a traffic police officer, Constable Bhagwat Singh Yadav was managing traffic at Pipliyahana Square when a passerby, Laxman Kanodiya, approached him for help. Laxman reported that while walking on the road, some youths on a motorcycle snatched his mobile phone and tried to escape.
Without hesitation, Constable Bhagwat Singh immediately gave chase on his motorcycle and alerted his colleague, Constable Ranjit Ninama, who was posted at the Agriculture College Square. Together, they pursued the suspects and managed to apprehend two of them along with their motorcycle. The other two suspects jumped off the bike and fled the scene.
Upon questioning, the arrested accused identified themselves as Shahrukh and Tausif. They were subsequently handed over to Tilak Nagar police for further investigation.
The officer praised the swift and coordinated action of Constables Bhagwat Singh Yadav and Ranjit Ninama, noting that their quick response prevented the mobile snatching from succeeding and ensured the immediate arrest of two offenders.

Transporters were reminded to strictly adhere to no-entry rules, ensure their drivers do not operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol, and conduct proper background verification of their drivers. They were also instructed to follow all road safety rules and avoid bringing vehicles into the city during restricted hours.
