Local bets Eryk Omandam and Natasha Doromal-Lim bested an international field and shared the limelight on Sunday after ruling their respective divisions in the first-ever Damosa Land 5150 Triathlon held on Samal Island.
The 20-year-old Omandam clocked two hours and 20 minutes and 24 seconds to claim victory in the men’s division. The event featured a challenging course consisting of a 1.5-kilometer swim, 40-kilometer bike ride, and a 10-kilometer run.
Both athletes showcased exceptional endurance and skill, making their wins even more impressive against strong international competitors.
