Hindustan Construction Company Awarded Two Contracts Valued At ₹1,418.3 & ₹1,147.51 Crore By Patna Rail Corporation

New Delhi: Hindustan Construction Company Limited (HCC) announced on Tuesday that it has been awarded two major contracts by the Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL), valued at Rs 1,418.3 crore and Rs 1,147.51 crore, respectively.

According to the company’s statement, these contracts involve the construction of 10.67 km of underground tunnels using Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) along with six metro stations as part of Phase I of the Patna Metro Rail Project.

The first contract, package PC-05, includes the design and construction of twin tunnels using a shield TBM, a cut-and-cover tunnel, an underground ramp at Mithapur, and three metro stations: Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan, and Patna Station.

The second contract, package PC-06, comprises an underground ramp at Rukanpura and three metro stations: Rukanpura, Raja Bazar, and Patna Zoo.

Both packages also cover architectural finishing, water supply systems, and sanitary and drainage works for stations located along the Danapur-Khemnichak Corridor.

HCC has been instrumental in India’s metro expansion, having successfully delivered significant portions of major metro projects including the Delhi Metro, Bengaluru Metro, Mumbai Metro Line I, and Kolkata Metro.
