New Delhi: Sri Lankan batting great Kumar Sangakkara is set to return to Rajasthan Royals as the head of the coaching staff following the exit of Rahul Dravid.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Sangakkara, who has been serving as Rajasthan Royals’ Director of Cricket since 2021, will fill the void left by Dravid’s departure. He has already begun planning for the upcoming 2026 season.
Since joining Rajasthan Royals in 2021, Sangakkara has also taken on the role of head coach. Under his guidance, the Sanju Samson-led franchise has reached the playoffs twice in four seasons.
