**British Businessman Found Dead at Residence in Indore: Autopsy Conducted**
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A panel of three doctors conducted the autopsy of 62-year-old British businessman Christopher Perry, who was found dead at his residence under the Rau police station limits on Friday night. The exact cause of death has not yet been ascertained. The post-mortem (PM) was videographed, and all procedures defined for a foreign national were diligently followed.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Christopher Perry, a native of Rustington, England, who had been living in Indore’s Silicon City for the past two years. He was a co-partner in Steelint Blasting Equipment Pvt Ltd, based in Pithampur.
DCP (Zone-1) Krishan Lalchandani told media reporters that Perry’s business partners had been trying to contact him, but he did not respond. They grew suspicious when he failed to open his house for an extended period. Around 9 pm, they broke open the door and found him lying dead in his hall, with some headache tablets lying near his body.
The police have informed his family members in England. Perry lived alone in Indore and is survived by three daughters who reside in England. Additional DCP Alok Kumar Sharma said that the police contacted one of his daughters, Millie Perry, who has given consent for the autopsy examination and cremation.
His cremation will be carried out after formal procedures, and his ashes will be transported to England through the embassy, Sharma added.
DCP Lalchandani further mentioned that, prima facie, the death might have been due to a drug overdose, as tablets were recovered from the scene. Perry was reportedly ill for around one week prior to his death. However, the conclusive cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report is finalized.
