The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is revamping its consumer grievance redressal system to enhance the overall complaint resolution process.
As part of this initiative, the RBI is extending the Ombudsman scheme to include Rural Co-operative banks. This move aims to provide better protection and easier access to grievance redressal for customers of these banks.
The updated framework is expected to streamline complaint handling and improve transparency, ensuring timely and effective resolution of consumer issues across the banking sector.
