Corruption issues seen dampening property demand

MANILA, Philippines – There may be a temporary demand pullback in the property sector as investors assess the developments surrounding the current political environment, where high-ranking government officials are facing mounting corruption allegations.

David Leechiu, CEO of real estate broker Leechiu Property Consultants (LPC), told reporters on Monday that the business community remains “highly skeptical” about whether this situation will affect the market in the long term.
