Indian cricketers Abhishek Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav have been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for September 2025. The duo played pivotal roles in India’s title-winning campaign at the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup. They join Zimbabwe’s Brian Bennett, who amassed an impressive 497 runs across nine T20 Internationals last month.

#### Abhishek Sharma’s Outstanding Asia Cup Campaign
Abhishek Sharma was India’s standout performer in the recently concluded T20 Asia Cup. He scored a remarkable 314 runs in seven matches at a blistering strike rate of 200. The left-handed batsman notched 50-plus scores against major teams including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
His consistency and explosive batting earned him the highest-ever batting rating in the ICC T20I Batting Rankings, reaching a phenomenal 931 points. Currently, Abhishek maintains an exceptional T20I strike rate of 196.07.
#### Kuldeep Yadav’s Bowling Brilliance
Kuldeep Yadav spearheaded India’s spin attack and finished as the highest wicket-taker in the Asia Cup. The 30-year-old left-arm wrist spinner claimed 17 wickets from seven matches, boasting an average of 9.29 and an economy rate of 6.27.
Kuldeep’s best performance came in the tournament opener against UAE, where he took four wickets for just seven runs, setting the tone for India’s bowling dominance throughout the competition.
#### Brian Bennett’s Impact for Zimbabwe
Zimbabwean batsman Brian Bennett also made a strong case for the award with his prolific run-scoring. Bennett scored 497 runs in nine T20Is during September at an impressive average of 55.22 and a strike rate of 165.66.
He particularly shone in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final, registering scores of 72, 65, and 111. His outstanding form helped Zimbabwe secure qualification for the ICC T20 World Cup scheduled for 2026.
