**Next Film by Silambarasan and Vetri Maaran Titled ‘Arasan’**

The much-anticipated upcoming film starring actor Silambarasan TR, directed by Vetri Maaran, and produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu now has an official title. Previously referred to as STR 49, the project will be known as **Arasan**. The title was unveiled on Tuesday through a special poster shared by producer Thanu on Instagram.
**First Look Poster Revealed**
The first-look poster of *Arasan* features a gritty and intense image of a man holding a machete, with his hand resting on a bicycle carrier. This imagery sets the tone for what audiences can expect — a film with a raw and powerful atmosphere. The announcement also dispels earlier rumors about the project being shelved due to financial difficulties.
**Star-Studded Cast**
Alongside Silambarasan TR, *Arasan* will feature Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, and Kishore in pivotal roles. There has been speculation about whether this film is the much-awaited *Vada Chennai 2*. However, director Vetri Maaran clarified in a recent YouTube interview that while *Arasan* is not *Vada Chennai 2*, it will be set in the same universe as *Vada Chennai*.
