The much-anticipated collaboration between actor Silambarasan TR, director Vetri Maaran, and producer Kalaippuli S Thanu has finally been named. The upcoming film, which was previously referred to as STR 49, will officially be called **Arasan**.

However, in a recent YouTube interview, Vetri Maaran clarified that although *Arasan* is not *Vada Chennai 2*, it will be set in the same universe as *Vada Chennai*.
