Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, highlighted the importance of the initiative in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness. He emphasized that the funding would accelerate the deployment of interoperable solutions across the Single Market, fostering a more connected and efficient rail network.
“Open to all innovators, including SMEs, universities, and start-ups, the call encourages strong partnerships and practical solutions that deliver impact quickly and at scale,” Tzitzikostas said.
This funding opportunity aims to drive innovation in the rail sector, promoting collaboration among diverse stakeholders to shape the future of sustainable transport in Europe.
