Many of the weapons, gadgets, and other equipment you can earn in Battlefield 6 are locked not behind your level, but class assignments. These challenges ask you to play each class in a specific way or use its tools early and often. We’ve cataloged all the class assignments, as well as some tips on how to complete them, right here.

### Where to Find Class Assignments
You’ll find the class assignments in the same menu as all the other assignments—under the **Challenges** tab at the top of the lobby screen. Navigate there, then select the third icon down on the left side of the screen, the polygon with the star in the middle. From there, select **Class**, and you’ll be able to see all the assignments you can complete.

### How to Progress Class Assignments
To unlock the ability to complete class assignments, you first need to reach **Rank 20** in multiplayer. Any progress you make toward any assignment before that will go unmarked.
Once you reach Rank 20, you unlock the base version of each assignment tree, named simply after the class: Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon. Each starting assignment—such as Assault 1 or Engineer 1—must be completed before you can start working on Assault 2, and so on.
Keep in mind that your progress on locked assignments is **not retroactive**. This means you cannot make progress on Assault 2 until you complete Assault 1 and unlock its reward, the Spawn Beacon. The same applies to all subsequent assignments.
The second set of assignments—titled **Expert** and **Specialist**, depending on the class—requires you to complete the three preceding base assignments first. The process remains the same: you need to finish Expert/Specialist 1 before starting Expert/Specialist 2.

### All Class Assignments and How to Complete Them
There are 24 class assignments in total—six per class—divided between base challenges and Expert/Specialist challenges. All of them are fairly grindy, and the toughest can depend on your playstyle and the class in question.

### Important Note: Some Class Challenges Aren't Tracking Progress
At launch, Battlefield 6 has a known bug where certain challenges don’t properly track progress—or don’t track it at all. EA is aware of this issue and a fix is expected soon.
If you’re trying to accumulate healing points for Support 1 or repair points for Engineer 1 and notice the progress bar isn’t updating, don’t worry—you’re not alone. A patch is likely on the way to resolve this, though its release timing may vary depending on the complexity of the fix.
