Battlefield 6 looks to have crossed 7 million units sold in a week

Just last week, Battlefield 6 kicked off a whole new generation of large-scale military FPS gaming, bringing with it a massive wave of excitement from fans worldwide. In an impressive start, the game has reportedly crossed 7 million units sold and grossed over $350 million, marking a significant short-term success for EA and Battlefield Studios.

The sales data comes from GamesIndustry.biz and its analytics partner, Alinea Analytics. According to their report, Battlefield 6 reached 7 million copies sold across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This performance outshines every other premium game launched this year, with the only exception being EA Sports FC 26, which achieved higher sales in a similar timeframe.

This monumental first week underscores the high anticipation for Battlefield 6, known for delivering top-tier action and combat within the franchise. Popular modes like Conquest and Breakthrough have been enhanced, and the maps offer engaging strategic opportunities that players are thoroughly enjoying.

Adding to its success, Battlefield 6 hit a concurrent player peak of over 747,000 users on Steam, according to data shared by SteamDB. Although the number of active players has since stabilized, it continues to maintain a strong presence, regularly drawing between 300,000 and 500,000 players simultaneously.

With its strong launch performance and ongoing player engagement, Battlefield 6 is clearly establishing itself as a major hit in the FPS genre for 2024.
