The games industry mourns the passing of Tomonobu Itagaki. Itagaki’s influence on 3D fighting game design will be felt for decades. Several notable figures have paid tribute to him:

– Ed Boon honors Itagaki-san.
This is truly a heartfelt outpouring of love and respect for their friend’s passing — not just a friend, but a leader and a teacher. Masahiro Sakurai also prays for his eternal peace.
