Gene Simmons Car Crash Aftermath Video Shows SUV Smashed Into Truck in Malibu

Gene Simmons recently experienced a frightening car accident in Malibu, narrowly avoiding what could have been a much worse outcome. According to video obtained by TMZ, the KISS rocker’s SUV collided headfirst with a parked truck along the Pacific Coast Highway.

The impact caused significant damage to the parked truck, crumpling and bending its hood, while Gene’s Lincoln Navigator appeared mostly unharmed. Fortunately, it seems lucky that he didn’t drive off the nearby cliff and into the ocean.

Gene’s wife, Shannon, explained that he fainted behind the wheel, causing him to drift across several lanes of traffic before crashing into the parked vehicle. Based on the aftermath footage, it looks like Gene would have gone over the bluff and onto the beach, possibly ending up in the ocean, if he hadn’t hit the truck.

Paul Stanley, Gene’s bandmate from KISS, told TMZ it was nothing short of a miracle that Gene survived the crash. Despite the severity of the accident, the airbags did not deploy, and Gene emerged without a scratch, although paramedics arrived on scene with a stretcher as a precaution.

Shannon also shared that Gene had recently been put on new medication and was dehydrated, partly because he dislikes drinking water. This dehydration, combined with the medication, is believed to have caused him to pass out while driving. Following the accident, Shannon said she doesn’t want to drive with him again.

Thankfully, Gene Simmons is safe, but this incident serves as a stark reminder of how quickly things can go wrong on the road.
