If you’ve been playing **Ghost of Yotei** and accidentally found yourself permanently locked out of completing a mission due to a bug, the new patch might be able to help.
Sucker Punch has released the patch notes for **Ghost of Yotei version 1.010**. While this update isn’t as large or as hefty as the day one patch, it addresses a number of significant bugs and includes more fixes than the previous update.
### Fixing Permanent Mission Blocking Bugs
Most of the fixes in version 1.010 focus on preventing various ways players can get permanently locked out of progressing in different missions — including one bug that blocked progression in the entire game.
The patch resolves mission blocking bugs for **seven different quests**, all triggered by specific player actions taken at the wrong time. For example, in *Broken Horn Garrison*, if a player dies after killing all enemies and rescuing the prisoner but before officially completing the mission, it could permanently block progress.
In *Fighting Fire with Fire*, the mission would get permanently blocked if the player tried to complete flash bomb training without having any flash bombs, a problem now fixed.
Meanwhile, *The Way of the Kusarigama* could become locked if the player warped into the mission at a certain point, and *Higashi Lumberyard* could lock if the player saved and quit at an unlucky moment. Several other mission blocking bugs have also been addressed.
### Other Critical Fixes
One serious “permanent game blocking bug” involved climbing a tower in the Frontier, speaking to an NPC, and then restarting from the last checkpoint — this issue has now been resolved.
The patch also fixes a couple of rare crashes. One crash was related to ray tracing, and another could occur during the *Poison and Lies* mission if the player approached Oyuki while accompanied by the Nine Tails NPC.
Additionally, a placeholder asset that accidentally appeared in the final mission of the Kitsune of the Yotei Six questline has been replaced with the correct content.
