**Gerald Huston Considers Lawsuit Against Papoose and Claressa Shields Following Alleged Altercation**
Gerald Huston, the comedian who was allegedly roughed up by rapper Papoose during a prank gone wrong last month, tells TMZ Sports he is now considering filing a lawsuit against both Papoose and his girlfriend, Claressa Shields.
Huston revealed that shortly after Shields brought the incident to light on social media, he began consulting with attorneys to determine if he has a legal case. According to Huston, the story surrounding the altercation has been heavily distorted, leading him to believe he may have grounds for a defamation claim in addition to a potential assault case.
The content creator, known for stunts such as purposely calling celebrities by the wrong names, explained that the incident took place in Las Vegas in early September, just after the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight.
Huston disputes Shields’ version of events, stating that Papoose did not get in his face nor did he smack him with a book after Huston jokingly called Shields “Serena Williams.” Instead, Huston claims that Papoose threw a stack of books at him from a distance.
He also mentioned that police were present at the time of the incident. Although he chose not to press charges initially, Huston says he is now exploring other legal options.
“I’ve been talking to a lawyer and counsel just because of the lies that have been told about me and spread about my name,” Huston said. “I was assaulted, and they admitted they assaulted me online. But I don’t do my videos for this reason. That’s why I didn’t want to mention it — because I don’t do my videos to get the wrong reaction out of somebody and be like ‘oh let me sue you now.’”
Huston added that he sustained a gash on his nose as a result of Papoose’s actions but joked about the incident, saying he has been afraid of any kind of books ever since.
