Blue Jays’ Vladimir Guerrero Jr. drops important reminder before World Series

After over a week of drama, incredible wins, and crushing defeats, the Toronto Blue Jays are heading to the World Series. They secured a thrilling 4-3 win over the Seattle Mariners, returning to baseball’s biggest stage for the first time this century.

Following the game, ALCS MVP Vladimir Guerrero Jr. expressed his excitement about his team’s efforts. A key moment was George Springer’s go-ahead blast, which helped seal the victory. However, Guerrero Jr. remained humble and avoided making any bold declarations about the World Series just yet.

Why the caution? As he said, “The job’s not finished. We’ve got four more to go. I love my team.”

Guerrero Jr. has become a true hero in Toronto not only for his heroic playoff performances but also because of his deep roots in the city, stemming from childhood interactions with his father. He has emerged as the face of Blue Jays baseball and a Canadian hero during this playoff run.

His numbers speak volumes: batting .462 throughout the playoffs so far, with an astonishing slugging percentage of 1.000 and an OPS of 1.532. Guerrero Jr. is hitting for power, performing well with men on base, and most importantly, driving in runs. Of his 18 hits, 11 have brought at least one runner home, including himself on six occasions.

Will it be easy for Toronto to claim the championship in Los Angeles by unseating the reigning and defending World Series Champions? No, it will not be. But if the Blue Jays continue to play for each other, just as Guerrero suggested, securing four more wins and capturing the title for the first time since 1993 is certainly within reach.
