NFL world reacts to horrible Buccaneers news

Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans were excited about the return of a key player heading into Monday night’s showdown with the Detroit Lions. However, that excitement was very short-lived.

Buccaneers veteran wide receiver Mike Evans, one of the most consistent wide receivers in NFL history, has started every season with 11 consecutive years of more than 1,000 receiving yards. Evans had missed the past several games battling a hamstring injury but was a full participant in practice this week and was in the lineup for Monday night’s game.

Unfortunately, Evans and the team got a bad break early in the game. During the first half of Tampa Bay’s loss to the Lions, Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield attempted a deep pass to Evans, who had broken free from coverage. The ball connected with Evans, and he briefly appeared to make the catch. However, he dropped the ball when he hit the ground and was clearly injured.

Evans was eventually helped off the field and was quickly ruled out with a concussion and a right shoulder injury. This is very troubling news for both Evans and the Buccaneers as they face challenges moving forward.

The injury sparked a wave of reactions on social media. One fan predicted, “First year since the War of 1812 that he won’t have 1,000 yards.” Another wrote, “Dude can’t catch a break. Have a feeling he might call it soon.” The sentiment was echoed by others: “He can’t catch a break,” and “This is sad, he is one of the greatest of all time.” Another lamented, “Right when he came back, too.”

We will have to wait and see when Mike Evans is able to return to the field and help lead the Buccaneers once again.
