### Ric Flair Recalls Wrestling Brock Lesnar at Age 56
Ric Flair revealed that he was 56 years old when he found himself having to wrestle Brock Lesnar. The situation unfolded after Stone Cold Steve Austin decided to step away from WWE, which led to an unusual turn of events.
Flair explained, “When Steve quit, I got to TV and Vince McMahon asked, ‘Where’s your gear?’ I said, ‘My gear? I thought I was the co-owner of the company.’ He said, ‘You were. Now you’re wrestling tonight.’”
Upon learning this, Flair was told that he would be facing Brock Lesnar. “I said, ‘Who?’ He said, ‘Brock.’ ‘Brock Lesnar?’ He told me, ‘Get your sh** and never come to TV without it again.’ I went from being a commissioner or whatever I was to wrestling Brock. Brother, he’s a bad apple, man,” Flair recalled.

Flair also shared a humorous side to the match, noting that he asked Lesnar to go easy on him. Laughing, he said, “I’ll tell you, the guy you can really feel it with is Brock. When Brock grabs a hold of you, you know, I used to go, ‘easy, brother.’”

Throughout their careers, Ric Flair and Brock Lesnar have faced off five times. Their rivalry saw Lesnar claim victory over Flair on four occasions — three times on RAW and once at Madison Square Garden.
One notable match featured Lesnar teaming up with The Undertaker to take on Flair and Rob Van Dam. However, Flair scored the only win of his career against Lesnar two weeks later, when he teamed with The Undertaker to defeat Lesnar and Big Show.
