A whistleblower has revealed that a Seattle prison employed 38 illegal aliens as corrections officers guarding American inmates. There could be more than 100 such officers in total. Both state and federal laws prohibit this practice.
Despite these legal bans, Seattle jail officials have denied any wrongdoing and plan to challenge the state law. It remains unclear how they intend to challenge the federal law.
Seattle has continued to employ these individuals. Given that illegal aliens are classified as criminals under federal law, some argue that federal authorities should intervene and take action.
