**EXCLUSIVE: Josh Hartnett to Star in and Produce Action-Thriller *All Day & All Night***
Josh Hartnett (*Trap*) will star in and produce the upcoming action-thriller *All Day & All Night*, penned by Tommy Wirkola and John Niven. The film will be directed by Wirkola, the Norwegian filmmaker renowned for the *Violent Night* and *Dead Snow* franchises.
Wirkola will also produce alongside XYZ Films, which will finance the project with backing from IPR.VC. The team plans to launch worldwide sales at the American Film Market (AFM) next month. Production is slated to begin in 2026.
**Synopsis:**
When his daughter is accepted into Harvard, reformed bank robber Billy Davies (Hartnett) returns to a life of crime to raise tuition money. However, when the bank heist goes horribly wrong, Billy and his crew unwittingly stumble onto the set of a struggling reality TV show. Now, Billy must stay on air long enough to devise an escape plan—dodging cops trying to arrest him and the mob aiming to kill him—while the producers scramble to keep the show on air to boost ratings and avoid cancellation.
Guy Danella, President of Film at XYZ Films, will oversee and produce *All Day & All Night*. Before joining XYZ earlier this year, Danella produced Universal’s *Violent Night*, directed by Wirkola, as well as *Over Your Dead Body*.
XYZ Films has a history of collaboration with Wirkola, having served as executive producer for *Dead Snow 2: Red Vs Dead* (2014). More recently, they produced and financed the Norwegian film *The Trip* (directed and co-written by Wirkola), which Netflix released in 2021. Wirkola and XYZ also teamed up to remake *The Trip* in English, directed by Jorma Taccone and starring Jason Segel and Samara Weaving. This remake, titled *Over Your Dead Body*, is set for release by IFC next year, with Wirkola serving as an executive producer.
Josh Hartnett is currently in post-production on MGM/Amazon’s *Verity*, based on Colleen Hoover’s novel, scheduled for release in October 2026. He is also involved in Netflix’s upcoming miniseries *Untitled Newfoundland Project*.
Wirkola recently wrapped *Violent Night 2* for Universal, which is scheduled for release in December 2026. He also wrote, directed, and produced *Shiver* for Sony, starring Phoebe Dynevor, set to be released in July 2026.
