NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced during today’s GTC Keynote presentation that the company is manufacturing its Blackwell AI GPUs in America. The highlight of the announcement was a sleek video showcasing NVIDIA’s revamped supply chain, emphasizing the strategic shift in production.
NVIDIA has been at the center of the Trump administration’s ongoing trade war. Given the president’s push for technology firms to bring production back to the United States, this move comes as no surprise.
Interestingly, Huang also addressed recent tensions with the administration. Last week, he pointed out that NVIDIA held a 95% market share in China before tariff escalations began in April 2025. Despite the financial setbacks caused by having to cease all AI GPU business in China, Huang closed the announcement video with a strong statement: “The age of AI has begun, made in America, made for the world.”
