Triple H Slammed by Wrestling Veteran Vince Russo, Who Says WWE Will Remain Stagnant If He Stays
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo has spoken out against Triple H, suggesting that WWE’s progress will remain stagnant as long as The Game is involved. On the latest episode of **BroDown**, host Mac Davis sat down with Russo, the former WWE creative head, who didn’t hold back in his criticism of Triple H and his impact on the sports entertainment giant.
Russo believes that Triple H, along with other longtime WWE figures like Paul Heyman, Michael P.S. Hayes, and Bruce Prichard, need to step aside to allow for meaningful change. He emphasized how WWE currently finds itself in a similar position to where it was decades ago during the Attitude Era, when Vince McMahon brought Russo in to shake things up.
“Triple H isn’t going to become hip overnight. Triple H is not hip, and he’s never been hip. I promise you guys, I’m ten years older than him, and I’m a thousand times more hip than he is. It’s that traditional wrestling thing. We’re right where we were when Vince McMahon brought me in. We’re right at the place. Freaking Bruce [Prichard] was there. We’re in the exact same place, and the same guys are still there. I don’t see how you expect change with these people!” Russo said.

### Vince Russo on WWE’s Creative Issues and the Role of Outsiders
One of the core issues Russo highlighted is the absence of longtime wrestling fans in key creative positions within WWE. He criticized the company’s tendency to hire outsiders from Hollywood—writers with no wrestling background or locker room experience—only to see them intimidated by veterans like Michael P.S. Hayes and Bruce Prichard.
“The problem is, they bring in Hollywood writers who’ve never been in a locker room, who have never had any experience in wrestling, and then you get the Bruces and the Hayes’ right down the line, intimidating them. So three months in, they’re getting people coffee,” Russo explained on a recent episode of **Writing with Russo**.

### Vince Russo Claims He Groomed Triple H’s Right-Hand Man
Russo also revealed that he played a pivotal role in developing talent behind the scenes, naming Jeremy Borash—often regarded as Triple H’s right-hand man—as someone he groomed during their time together in TNA (now IMPACT Wrestling).
“Jeremy Borash, who is freaking Hunter’s right-hand man, was groomed by me. In TNA, it was Matt Conway, groomed by me. These were wrestling fans already working in the company, and then somebody took them under their wing. That has never happened in WWE,” Russo shared.
While Jeremy Borash isn’t publicly recognized as Triple H’s right-hand man within WWE, there is a clear connection and backstage acknowledgment of Borash’s talents. In fact, Borash was recently reported to be heading the creative direction of WWE’s recent acquisition, AAA.
