Nintendo has announced that the soundtrack for *The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild* will receive a vinyl release. This is a surprising move for the company, which rarely puts its original soundtracks (OSTs) on physical media outside of Japan.
The release is part of a new experiment to gauge the audience’s appetite for physical soundtrack releases in territories around the world.
The *Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild* Limited Edition vinyl release was revealed by Nintendo this morning. The soundtrack will be available in two versions: a 2LP set featuring 34 tracks and an 8LP box set containing 130 tracks. Each vinyl record features the iconic Hylian Crest and comes in a sleeve adorned with artwork from the 2017 video game.
Speaking to Variety, Nintendo of America’s Vice President of Player & Product Experience, Bill Trinen, explained that Nintendo is using this release to measure the level of interest in physical media outside of Japan.
The *Breath of the Wild* soundtrack is now available for pre-order and will be officially released on June 19, 2026. The 2LP set is priced at $49.99, while the 8LP box set costs $194.99.
