How the pity system works in Duet Night Abyss

**Understanding the Pity System in Duet Night Abyss Cosmetics Gacha**

Duet Night Abyss famously dropped the idea of gacha for characters and weapons in the game, instead delivering a system that allows players to farm for whatever they wish. However, there is still a gacha system tied exclusively to cosmetics. Many of the fancy skins and unusual visuals are locked behind this gacha mechanic, so it’s important to understand how the pity system works before engaging with it.

### How the Pity System Works in Duet Night Abyss

If you want to obtain some of the skins in Duet Night Abyss, you will need to participate in the cosmetic gacha system. In this game, pulls are referred to as “Weaves,” and the pity system guarantees certain rewards based on your pull count.

– **Every 10 pulls**, you are guaranteed to receive at least one *purple rarity* cosmetic item.
– **Every 90 pulls**, you are guaranteed to receive *25 Iridescent Prisms*, a valuable currency used to purchase skins.

These tiers are categorized as Green, Purple, and Gold, with Iridescent Prisms associated with the Gold rarity tier. Purple items typically include cosmetics such as glasses, hats, masks, or other accessories for your character that are not considered full outfits.

It’s worth noting that if you pull a Gold-tier item before reaching the 90-pull pity limit, your counter resets back to zero.

### Accessing the Cosmetic Banners

Cosmetic banners can be found in the Shop under the **Recommended** tab. When pulling, you will need specific currencies:

– Use a **Prismatic Hourglass** to pull from the Event Banner.
– Use **Pristine Hourglasses** to pull from Standard Banners.

Be sure to check the **Details** tab for each banner, located near the center at the bottom of the screen, to view the exact drop rates for different cosmetic components.

### Important Notes About the Pity System

– The pity system is **unique to each banner**. Progress on one banner will not affect your pity count on another.
– Some skins are also available for **direct purchase** in the Shop.
– To quickly check if characters have any cosmetics available for direct purchase, visit their **Cosmetic section** in the Armory, which provides a convenient link to the shop page.

By understanding and keeping track of the pity system, you can better strategize your pulls and efficiently work towards unlocking the cosmetic items you want in Duet Night Abyss.
