Raider Hatches: An Alternative Way to Extract from Topside
Raider Hatches are one of the few ways players can extract from Topside in the game. These are literal hatches embedded in the ground that require a key before you can access them. For many players, their first introduction to these escape methods comes during the quest Hatch Repairs.
Where to Find a Raider Hatch
On the map, Raider Hatches are marked by a white square with a dark arrow pointing into a circle. They are typically located further away from main locations and serve as alternative routes to escape back to Speranza.
The easiest Raider Hatches to locate are found on the Dam Battlegrounds map, including:
- Pump House Hatch to the northeast
- Red Lakes Hatch to the east
- Old Baron’s Hatch to the southwest
- Sunroof Hatch to the northwest
Completing the Hatch Repairs Quest
To complete the Hatch Repairs quest, approach any Raider Hatch and look for the repair prompt. Interact with the hatch to fix it and complete the mission.
Keep in mind, unless you have a Raider Hatch Key, you won’t be able to use the hatch to escape. In that case, you’ll need to turn around and find another way back to Speranza.
