Rusted Gears are classified as Industrial items in ARC Raiders. While knowing where to find them gives you an edge, actually obtaining them can still be a challenge. Even after clearing two massive loot runs and opening dozens of containers, I only managed to bring back a single Rusted Gear—so expect the hunt to take a few attempts.

### Best Places to Find Rusted Gears
You’ll need to target specific Industrial loot zones if you want to maximize your chances of finding Rusted Gears. Here’s a list of the prime locations:
– **Spaceport Rocket Assembly**
– **Container Storage**
– **Vehicle Maintenance**
– **The Blue Gate Traffic Tunnel** (and surroundings beneath the massive structure northeast of Checkpoint)
– **Adorned Wreckage**
– **Warehouse Complex**
– **Dam Battlegrounds**
– **Water Treatment Control**
– **Hydroponic Dome Complex**
– **Power Generation Complex**
– **The Primary Facility** (along the central dividing bridge)

Once you’re in an Industrial area, prioritize searching the following container types:
– **Electrical Boxes**

– **Breachable Metal Crates**
You may also try opening desk drawers and cabinets. However, these containers primarily feature Residential and Commercial loot, even when found inside Industrial zones—so your chances are better with the container types listed above.

The odds are good that you’ll need at least a few runs to collect the three Rusted Gears needed to upgrade the Gunsmith Workshop station to level three. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t find what you’re looking for right away; persistence pays off.
