RUNNING SPRINGS, Calif. (KABC) — Over two dozen people, mostly children, were injured after a bus overturned on the highway in Running Springs.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, a total of 29 people were transported to the hospital with injuries. It is believed that about 80 children were on the bus at the time of the crash.
The incident occurred on Highway 330 just before 9 p.m. on Sunday. As a result, the highway was closed in both directions while crews investigated the scene. At this time, it is unknown when the highway will reopen.
Details regarding the bus’s destination and the cause of the overturn remain unclear.
