IRVINE, Calif. (AP) — Jurian Dixon’s 23 points powered UC Irvine to a 79-70 victory over Weber State on Saturday night.
Dixon was efficient from the field, shooting 7 for 13 overall, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc. He also made 7 of 8 free throws to help the Anteaters improve to 3-1 on the season.
Derin Saran contributed 15 points, going 4 of 9 from the field and a perfect 7 for 7 from the free-throw line, while adding five rebounds. Tama Isaac chipped in with 14 points for UC Irvine.
For the Wildcats (1-3), Edwin Suarez led the charge with 13 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Trevor Henning added 11 points and six boards, while Viljami Vartiainen finished with 10 points and two steals.
