Carter Jones threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns as Nevada dominated San Jose State in a commanding 55-10 victory. The Wolfpack were never seriously challenged throughout the game.
While Jones led the offense, it was Nevada’s defense that sparked the team’s momentum early on. Defensive back Nakian Jackson intercepted San Jose State quarterback Walker Eget and returned the pick 66 yards for the game’s first score.
Jackson’s interception was the first of three picks thrown by Eget, setting the tone for a tough day on the field for the Spartans. With this win, Nevada improves to 2-8 overall and 1-5 in Mountain West Conference play.
