Marvel actor Michael B. Jordan recently opened up about one specific role of his that became a turning point in his career. While Jordan has several roles to look back on, he believes his role from a 2002 drama movie tops them all. Michael B. Jordan on what his most defining role is In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Black Panther actor reflected on what he believes is his career-defining role. “I think the biggest one that I can think of, off the top of my head, is probably Wallace from The Wire,” Jordan revealed. “I think The Wire really made me fall in love with what I was doing,” the Creed star continued. “You know, being surrounded by such veteran actors and storytellers. I got the chance to, like, really learn from them, and get inspired and really fall in love with the craft. So, I would probably say The Wire was the one for me that set things into motion,” he added, emphasizing its effect on his career. Michael B. Jordan received the 39th Annual American Cinematheque Award on November 20, 2025. He was honored for his work as both an actor and a director in recent years. As the year is coming to an end, fans continue to hail his performance as the identical Smokestack Twins in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners as one of the standout roles of 2025. Jordan responded by saying, “Just being a part of the conversation this late in the year, and people are still excited about the movie that we made-it speaks volumes. It was really a family and a team thing.” He then credited the success of the movie to everyone involved in making the movie.
