Moon Studios has been working on *No Rest For the Wicked* for quite some time, with the game entering early access in April 2024. While the game has been a solo journey up to this point, a major update coming next week is set to bring a new layer of fun: multiplayer co-op.
The top-down action-adventure will soon allow up to four players to embark on the journey together. Moon Studios showcased the co-op gameplay in a new trailer this week, announcing the update titled *No Rest For the Wicked Together*.
This highly anticipated update is scheduled to launch on January 22, 2025. With it comes the implementation of the co-op system, enabling four players to play simultaneously. Players will be able to assist each other not only through travel and combat but also in gathering, harvesting, and improving their home settlement.
*No Rest For the Wicked* marks a significant departure from Moon Studios’ usual style. The studio earned its reputation with *Ori and the Blind Forest* and its sequel—both well-known Metroidvania titles. However, *No Rest For the Wicked* leans more towards a Soulsborne experience, infused with gathering and crafting elements.
Moon Studios faced some challenges along the way, including the need to buy back the rights to the game from Take-Two after previously selling it to Private Division. Despite these hurdles, the team continues to push forward with exciting new content for players to enjoy.
