Appeals court indefinitely halts judge’s limits on ICE tactics in Minnesota

A federal appeals court on Monday blocked a lower-court judge’s restrictions on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) tactics in Minnesota, handing the Trump administration a significant win.

The decision comes amid ongoing protests and legal challenges surrounding federal immigration operations in the Twin Cities.

The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued an indefinite stay of a January ruling, effectively allowing ICE to continue its current enforcement practices without the previously imposed limitations.
