**Vigilance Awareness Week 2025: Sensitization Programme Held at Bengaluru Division**
As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, a sensitization programme for officers and staff was organized today at the Anugraha Railway Community Hall, Bengaluru, by the South Western Railway, Bengaluru Division.
The session was led by A. Annadurai, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer, South Western Railway, who delivered a comprehensive and insightful presentation on various aspects of vigilance. He explained the definition, causes, and consequences of corruption, emphasizing its detrimental effects on society. Highlighting the need for ethical conduct and transparency, he stressed their importance across all areas of railway operations.
Mr. Annadurai also informed the gathering that Vigilance Awareness Week will be observed from 27th October to 2nd November 2025, with the theme: “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”. He elaborated on the significance of this theme and urged all employees to consider vigilance as everyone’s responsibility and a core value in public service.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Bengaluru, emphasized the importance of maintaining vigilance in day-to-day duties to ensure integrity and accountability within the organization.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior officials, including Parikshit Mohanpuria and Praveen Kataraki, Additional Divisional Railway Managers, along with other officers and staff of the Bengaluru Division. Their involvement underscored the collective commitment to fostering a culture of vigilance throughout the division.
This annual programme serves as a vital platform to raise awareness, promote ethical practices, and reinforce the shared responsibility of all employees in combating corruption and upholding transparency in the railway sector.
