**‘K3G’ Fame Jibraan Khan Duped of ₹34 Lakh by Cafe Manager**

**The Story**
The Bandra Police have registered a case against the general manager of actor Jibraan Khan’s cafe for allegedly embezzling nearly ₹34 lakh. The accused, Ajay Singh Rawat, has been managing the establishment since 2022, overseeing daily cash and online payments, making cash deposits to the cafe’s bank account, and settling payments with various vendors.
**Discovery of Fraud**
The alleged embezzlement came to light on September 19 when another staff member, Pramod, informed Khan that payments to vendors had not been made. At the time, Rawat was on leave, and Khan initially awaited his return from his hometown. However, upon questioning Rawat on September 22, the manager’s vague responses raised Khan’s suspicions of financial irregularities.
**Financial Audit and Findings**
Prompted by these doubts, Khan instructed his chartered accountant to conduct a thorough audit of the cafe’s finances for the fiscal year April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. The audit revealed that while the cafe reported a business turnover of ₹1.14 crore, only ₹79.67 lakh was deposited in the bank account. This discrepancy left a shortfall of approximately ₹34 lakh, which police suspect Rawat embezzled.
**Legal Action and Investigation**
Khan informed investigators that the misappropriation took place between April and September 2025. Following the complaint, the Bandra Police registered a case against Rawat under Section 316(4) (cheating) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A police officer stated, “We are verifying the transactions and ascertaining the veracity of the allegations.” The investigation is currently ongoing.
