**‘K3G’ Fame Jibraan Khan Duped of ₹34 Lakh by Cafe Manager**

The Bandra Police have registered a case against the general manager of actor Jibraan Khan’s cafe for allegedly embezzling nearly ₹34 lakh. The accused, Ajay Singh Rawat, has been managing the establishment since 2022. His responsibilities included handling daily cash and online payments, making bank deposits, and settling dues with vendors supplying goods to the outlet.
**Discovery of Fraud**
The alleged fraud came to light on September 19 when a staff member, Pramod, informed Khan that payments to vendors had not been made. At that time, Rawat was on leave, and Khan initially waited for him to return from his hometown. However, after questioning Rawat on September 22, the latter reportedly gave vague answers, raising suspicions of irregularities.
**Audit and Financial Discrepancies**
Suspecting foul play, Khan requested his chartered accountant to audit the cafe’s finances for the fiscal year spanning April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. The audit revealed that while the cafe recorded a business turnover of ₹1.14 crore, only ₹79.67 lakh had been deposited into the bank. This discrepancy of approximately ₹34 lakh is believed to have been embezzled by Rawat.
**Legal Action and Investigation**
Khan informed the authorities that Rawat misappropriated funds between April and September this year. Consequently, the Bandra Police registered a case against Rawat under Section 316(4) (cheating) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A police officer stated, “We are verifying the transactions and ascertaining the veracity of the allegations.” The case remains under active investigation.
**About Jibraan Khan and His Cafe**
Jibraan Khan, 31, is best known for his role in the blockbuster film *Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham* (2001). He now runs a pet-friendly, all-day breakfast and coffee cafe located on BJ Road, Mount Mary, Bandra. Khan resides in the Jyoti Sadan building on 28th Street, Bandra West. He was last seen on screen in the 2024 film *Ishq Vishk Rebound*.
