Mojang has announced that **The Copper Age** game drop will release next week during today’s **Minecraft LIVE 2025** broadcast. Minecraft players are set to enter The Copper Age when the update releases on **September 30, 2025**.
A copper-powered future awaits fans, featuring a new style of tools, décor, light sources, storage solutions, and much more. Here’s a breakdown of all the exciting features coming to The Copper Age:
### Copper Golem
Summon Copper Golems using copper and carved pumpkins to help bring your base to life. The Copper Golem automatically removes items left in copper chests and sorts them based on item type.
### Copper Chests
A brand-new block, Copper Chests, will require players to summon a Copper Golem to get started. Simply drop items into a copper chest and let the Copper Golem handle the sorting for you.
### Copper Golem Statue
A fully oxidized Copper Golem will transform into a Copper Golem Statue, but don’t worry—you can scrape off the patina using an axe to wake them up. Copper Golem Statues come in four fun poses that players can cycle through by interacting with them. Additionally, these statues emit unique signals when connected to a redstone compactor, adding new possibilities for redstone engineering.
### Copper Tools and Weapons
Copper becomes an official equipment tier with durability falling somewhere between iron and stone. Unlike copper blocks, copper tools and weapons will **not** oxidize, ensuring they stay in top shape during use.
### Copper Armor
Players will be able to equip a full set of copper armor, including helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. Copper armor is more durable than leather but slightly less tough than iron. Additionally, **Copper Horse Armor** will be available for your trusty steed.
### Shelves
A useful new block type that allows players to display up to three items, adding new decorative options for bases and builds.
### Oxidizing Lightning Rods
Any Lightning Rods crafted by players will gradually change from their shiny orange hue to a bright green as they oxidize over time, adding dynamic aesthetics to your builds.
### Copper Lanterns, Torches, Chains, and Bars
A variety of new copper-themed light sources and building materials will be included, enhancing your world with warm, rustic designs.
### New Dye Art
Dye art icons have been revamped with clearer visuals, making them easier to identify and use creatively.
### Iron Golem and Copper Golem Interaction
When an Iron Golem encounters a Copper Golem, the two become friends! The Iron Golem offers the Copper Golem a flower, which it immediately places on its head—a charming new interaction that adds personality to your village inhabitants.
