Bengaluru: India batter Karun Nair will return to play for Karnataka after a hiatus of two seasons, having been named in the state squad for the opening Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra. The match begins in Rajkot from October 15.
Karun rejoined the Karnataka side ahead of this season, after representing Vidarbha, where he played a significant role in the team’s Ranji Trophy-winning campaign last season. The middle-order batter had earlier been named among the probables for Karnataka.
