The best Arbucep build in Warframe

The Arbucep: Nokko’s Signature Archgun in Warframe

The Arbucep is Nokko’s signature Archgun, introduced to Warframe with The Vallis Undermind update. This weapon is incredibly fun to use, firing clusters of homing missiles that seek out enemies and detonate, causing high damage along with clouds of area-of-effect damage. Each missile delivers a different type of elemental damage, and their unpredictable tracking adds an exciting element of randomness to combat encounters.

Why the Arbucep Is One of the Best Archguns

The Arbucep stands out as a strong contender for the best overall Archgun in Warframe. It can easily clear rooms and corridors, making short work of enemies even at high levels. During testing, it performed exceptionally well against enemies up to around Level 500. While testing beyond that point is reserved for more specialized builds, this weapon already offers a powerful experience suitable for the average player.

As an Archgun, the Arbucep allows you to equip both a Primary and a Secondary Arcane, providing interesting customization options that significantly boost its combat effectiveness. Keep in mind, the Arcane suggestions provided here are optional enhancements; newer players shouldn’t worry if they don’t have access to them. The core build remains very capable on its own.

Recommended Arcane Setup

  • Primary: Crux – While it requires hitting weak spots, it activates frequently enough to grant multiple useful benefits. If you prefer pure damage over additional status effects, consider switching to Merciless. Personally, I appreciate the extra status procs from Crux since elemental effects can gradually wear enemies down.
  • Secondary: Enervate – This is the default choice for weapons with low Critical Chance, allowing you to enjoy powerful crits without heavily investing in critical mods.

Important Note on Elemental Damage

Each additional elemental mod you apply affects all six rockets fired from the Arbucep. This means every rocket will deal its innate element damage plus the combined elemental damage from your mods, making your shots highly versatile and effective against a variety of enemy types.

Suggested Mod Build

  • Primed Rubedo-Lined Barrel / Rubedo Lined Barrel: A solid boost to base damage, giving you a strong foundation.
  • Parallax Scope: Increases Critical Chance. Since we are using Enervate, monitor your crit rates, and if you prefer, replace this mod with a fire rate mod as a flexible slot.
  • Hollowed Bullets: Provides additional Critical Damage.
  • Magnetized Cycle: Adds Magnetic damage and improves Fire Rate.
  • Dual Rounds: Grants Multishot, which increases damage rather than simply firing extra projectiles on the Arbucep.
  • Venomous Clip: Adds Toxin damage, which combines with the following mod to create Viral damage.
  • Polar Magazine: Adds Cold damage, synergizing with the Toxin damage above to enhance Viral damage.
  • Magma Chamber: Adds Heat damage and improves status chance.

Balancing Reliability and Versatility

Recently, I’ve been focusing on crafting weapon builds that perform reliably across a wide variety of enemies rather than chasing overkill for specific cases. This means incorporating a broad spectrum of elemental types and solid status effects. The Arbucep build outlined here embodies that philosophy, aiming to be effective regardless of which enemies you face.

I hope this build proves useful to you and helps you make the most of the Arbucep in your Warframe adventures.
