Half of Jets season ticket holders getting price increase in 2026

The Jets are raising ticket prices for the 2026 season, sparking outrage among some fans. Much of the frustration appears to stem more from the team’s 1-7 record on the field than the ticket pricing itself.

A Jets spokesperson told The Post on Tuesday that part of the fan anger comes from a misunderstanding about the price increase. The 2026 season ticket price hike is partially due to the addition of a ninth home game—one more than this season.

This season, the Jets had only eight home games at MetLife Stadium because their game against Denver in London was considered a home game. Fans were not charged for that London game unless they specifically bought tickets for it.

According to the spokesperson, the average ticket price increase across MetLife Stadium is about 3.5 percent. However, prices for entire sections of upper-deck seating and lower end zone seating—the more affordable areas—will not increase at all.

The spokesperson added, “Fifty-six percent of the building went up between about $5 and $10 per seat per game.” Premium seating, such as the Coaches Club, saw a more significant increase because alcohol and food will now be included in the ticket price.

“This is normal procedure for us” to send out ticket notices at this time of year, the spokesperson said, so fans can begin payment plans if needed.

“The first thing people have to look at is that last year they didn’t pay for a full season of home games because of the London game, so the [2025] ticket prices were reduced by one game,” the spokesperson explained. “That game comes back to us next year because we have nine home games.”
