**All Eastbound Lanes of 10 Freeway Closed in Ontario After 18-Wheeler Hits Overpass**
ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) — All eastbound mainlanes of the 10 Freeway in Ontario remain closed following a crash involving an 18-wheeler and an overpass on Wednesday night.
AIR7 flew over the scene at the 10 Freeway and 15 Freeway interchange, where an oversized big rig heading eastbound struck the overpass. The impact caused visible damage, including a buckling edge of the overpass rail. It appeared the overpass was partially under construction at the time, with exposed rebar coming undone as a result of the collision.
Eastbound traffic is currently being diverted off the freeway at Milliken Avenue. According to Ontario police, drivers will need to use surface streets and re-enter the freeway at Etiwanda Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has closed all eastbound lanes for at least two hours while crews inspect the overpass and work to clear the truck. Officials warn the closure could extend well into the night.
CHP advises drivers to exit before 4th Street to avoid getting stuck in heavy backups. Motorists should expect significant traffic delays in the area.
Stay tuned for updates as crews continue to manage the incident.
