Chris Mosley’s 5 touchdowns propel North Carolina Central over North Carolina A&T 62-20

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Chris Mosley led North Carolina Central to a commanding 62-20 victory over North Carolina A&T on Saturday, showcasing a dominant performance both on the ground and through the air.

Mosley rushed for three touchdowns and caught passes for two more scores, finishing with 11 carries for 168 yards and four receptions totaling 90 yards. He opened the scoring with impressive runs of 50 and 14 yards in the first quarter, helping the Eagles (3-2) build a 17-0 lead early in the game.

Arthur Rodgers contributed with a 1-yard touchdown plunge, while Mosley connected with Walker Harris for a 50-yard touchdown, pushing the Eagles to a 31-14 advantage by halftime.

In the third quarter, Harris threw a 38-yard touchdown pass to Chauncey Spikes followed by a 30-yard strike to Mosley. Rodgers then added a 3-yard scoring run, extending the lead to 52-14.

Mosley capped off the day with a breakout 75-yard touchdown run, which was the lone score in the fourth quarter.

Harris completed 22 of 29 passes for 380 yards, while Rodgers carried 12 times for 149 yards as part of the Eagles’ impressive 366 rushing yards. Wide receiver Nasim Cosby also made a significant impact with six receptions for 117 yards.

For North Carolina A&T (1-3), Kevin White threw for 232 yards, completing 10 of 16 attempts. He hooked up with Jamison Warren on a 9-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and later scored a 2-yard rushing touchdown.

Defensively, Tim Alderman contributed a 21-yard fumble return touchdown in the final quarter for the Aggies.

North Carolina Central’s balanced attack and strong defensive performance ensured a decisive win over their rivals, continuing their successful season.
