Nintendo Account Owners Worldwide Reach 400 Million
Nintendo has announced a staggering milestone: the number of Nintendo Account owners worldwide has reached 400 million. This achievement, shared in Nintendo’s (NTDOY) second quarter report for the fiscal year ending March 2026, underscores the company’s growing global community.
Nintendo considers these accounts to be more than just numbers—they are “a bridge connecting Nintendo to our consumers.” The company elaborated: “Through the Nintendo Account program, we will develop the connections made through various opportunities people have to engage with our entertainment, into ones that allow us to directly deliver Nintendo’s unique experiences, creating lasting relationships that span generations. We view this entire structure as Nintendo’s unique ecosystem. By steadily enhancing the value of each component, we intend to maximize our business.”
The second-quarter earnings report highlighted other impressive figures as well. Nintendo reported 128 million annual playing users and 34 million Switch Online members. On the sales side, the Switch 2 has exceeded 10 million units sold, while Donkey Kong Bananza has sold an impressive 3.49 million units.
With these numbers, Nintendo continues to cement its position as a leading provider of interactive entertainment, leveraging a robust user base to deliver memorable experiences and foster connections that span generations.
