The Malayalam film *Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira*, starring Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan, is set to premiere on Netflix on September 26, 2025. The movie, directed by Althaf Salim, was originally released in theaters on August 29, 2025.
Despite its strong cast and relevant theme focusing on mental health, the film struggled at the box office. It tells the story of Aby and Nidhi, a couple preparing for marriage while confronting mental health challenges. However, the narrative did not connect profoundly with audiences, leading to modest box office collections of only ₹2.12 crore in Kerala within the first 20 days, according to the Economic Times.
*Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira* also faced stiff competition from other popular Onam releases like *Lokah* and *Hridayapoorvam*, which garnered better commercial success.
The film features impressive technical contributions, including cinematography by Jinto George, music by Justin Varghese, and production design by Ashwini Kale. In addition to Fahadh and Kalyani, the cast includes notable actors Lal, Vinay Forrt, and Suresh Krishna in pivotal roles.
