Video Shows Dozens of Planes Lined Up at Newark Airport Amid Travel Chaos

Footage has emerged showing dozens of planes lined up on a runway at Newark International Airport in New Jersey on Sunday. The video, shared by the X account @Breaking911—which has over 1.2 million followers and shares American news on the social-media platform—shows numerous planes waiting in line, with many of them belonging to United Airlines.

In addition, a screenshot from the flight tracking website Flightradar24, shared by X user Zach Griff, reveals a line of approximately 40 planes at the airport.

These scenes come amid widespread flight delays and cancellations across the United States due to reduced staffing levels resulting from the ongoing federal government shutdown.

To mitigate the travel chaos, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ordered airlines to reduce air traffic at 40 airports nationwide. As a result, many flights over the weekend were canceled.
