**Washington Democrats Release Emails Linking Jeffrey Epstein to President Trump**
Washington Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released a series of emails on Wednesday that were exchanged between Jeffrey Epstein and others concerning President Donald Trump.
Among the documents is a 2011 email from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell, in which Epstein stated that Mr. Trump “spent hours at my house” with one of Epstein’s victims. The victim’s name in the email has been redacted.
In another email from 2019 addressed to author Michael Wolff, Epstein wrote, “Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.” Maxwell, who was convicted of conspiring in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. Wolff is known for authoring several books about President Trump.
House Democrats explained that these emails were turned over by Epstein’s estate, which has released more than 23,000 documents now under review by lawmakers.
President Trump has previously stated that he severed ties with Epstein years ago and has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with these matters.
